Tekken Tag 2: Continue? 9. 8. 7. 6...

It has resurfaced. I thought I'd have better time to focus. Ever since I've caught the news, it's been tempting me; forcing through every possibility.


...ano yang pinagsasabi mo? Eto ang sinasabi ko, dre. Para sa mga hindi pa alam...

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has reached Philippine shores! WOOOOOOO! 




Since mga bagong immigrants ang larong 'to sa mga arcades ng Pinas, presyong imported rin, at around 35PhP, more or less. Sa mga hindi pa nakakalaro, try niyo na. Ipon-ipon na rin kayo. Malamang mabibitin kayo kung isang laro lang kayo, lalo na kung maraming ring nagaabang na makapaglaro.


...Huh? Why, yes. I am somewhat of a Tekken junkie. Thank you for asking. Or not.


As of this week, nakaka-dalawang balik na ako dun sa arcade na (medyo) malapit sa amin para ma-experience. Buti na lang Engineering Week ng UST. WOOOOOOOO!


Another Tekken game? What makes this different?


If you played Tekken 6 and thought the character roster is large, then TTT2's character roster is even larger. Ranging from the normally-acceptable fighters to the Mishimas and to the supernatural freaks, this game is kind of a Tekken reunion or something.


Also, like Tekken 6, this still has the "bound" system and "rage" system. So your Tekken 6 strategies may still work. At least most of them. Being a new game, there are additional new moves for every character. Some commands are taken out or replaced, so experiment on your character's new possibilities.


Now, imagine the said statements above and combine it with the 2-fighter tagging system of Tekken Tag. Juggle experimentation party!


Describe your first time with Tekken Tag 2.


AWESOME. As expected, I had to stand and wait to get a chance to play. In case you don't know, most Filipinos who play Tekken competitively play in teams and each team has a "home" arcade. So pagkadating ko doon sa arcade, nakaupo na kaagad sila, nage-enjoy. I had to watch them to figure out how were they doing those awesome tag combos. I had to wait for them to either take a break or leave the arcade for a while. Eventually, I had the chance to play for a bit and play against them. So ayun. Olats. Hahaha.


Pero in general, it was a very exciting experience. Sana nga makalaro ako ng walang nagcha-challenge para makaabot ko sa mga boss characters. 






TL;DR: Tekken Tag 2 is awesome. If I have to compare this game to its prequels, I'd say this is the birth child of the preceding installment, Tekken 6 and the first Tekken Tag.
