Holidays.rar

A half-bright sky watches above us, while it's dark half awaits not so far away.
A look at it, it doesn't seem it will go with the occasion.
At the silence of the afternoon, families getting ready for tonight and tomorrow.
A look at them, it says otherwise.
Warm hearts wrapped in the cool evening breeze.

I was gonna make a longer poem or something, but this is close enough. :D

Spending the night after Paskuhan playing at a computer shop with friends really passes the time. Sarap ng feeling ng naglalaban kayo sa Modern Warfare 2 at 5 in the morning, waiting for the sunrise. I was tired but not tired enough to make me sleep right away. Little did I know na makakatulog pala ako ng 5 hours pagdating sa bahay.

Anyway...

My Christmas gift came 2 days early! Ta-da!

Gonna have to learn some songs by ear. Songs like Linkin Park's Pushing Me AwayIridescent, and some others, A7X's Fiction, Dir En Grey's ain't afraid to die and Conceived Sorrow, Yeah! \,,/

So we're hours away from Christmas and I think everyone wants to have a nice, relaxing bonding time with loved ones. Only difference from previous Christmases is that this time, it's a weekend-length break for the working class.
Oh, and it's not just Christmas, too. Same goes for New Year's.

*sigh* Sucks to be back on academics on the 3rd. With expectations piled up.

While that may be the case, I know that we will prove this won't hinder the occasions and we will continue to have the holidays we love so: family get-togethers, eating Christmas-themed food, singing songs (albeit out of tune), and making memories. We may have experienced tragedies and unfortunate happenings but we are stubborn enough to not let them get in the way. God has given us the strength to endure these and we thank Him in return and pray to help us face the future. We WILL have a Merry Christmas, I tell you.

And so I say, to everyone who may read this, and even to those who won't,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Remember that it's not how long the celebration lasts, but it's how precious and memorable they are.

Writer's back with writer's block

Out of ideas
So here's a random haiku
Nothing comes to mind

For a while now, I've been trying to figure out what to write for my next post. I wanted to have a new entry ASAP but I can't seem to think of a topic. I've thought about some possible topics but for some reason, I can't remember them now. Darn it, why don't you stay in memory until you're needed?

And then it hit me. Why not write about having nothing to write about? It's worth a shot, right?

Everyone who writes seem to encounter this problem. If you haven't, you probably will. Why is it when at a given time, we try to write something, nothing comes to mind but after you give up on it a for a few minutes or hours, your mind suddenly has a river of ideas? Why is it we can remember ourselves thinking about good ideas but not the good ideas themselves? And sometimes, why is it we can write when we have other things to do?
That last one is from experience, btw.

Some say, "Inspiration is all around us".

The problem is, inspiration is a matter of perspective. What some may see as "inspirational", may not be to others. And vice-versa. Some may look at a water fountain and say, "Wow...hey, something comes to mind. Maybe I can write a post for it." A selected few can stare at a ceiling for a while and the ideas just flow (Sounds familiar, anyone?).

So let's assume you suddenly had an idea. Will you still be able to remember it well enough to make a good post?

Focusing is another factor. By focus, I don't mean staring intensely and swearing under your breath. I mean, channeling your full thinking capacity to it. If you're the everything-follows-after-I-start type, you probably finish writing faster. For those who are not, well...we manage, right? :D

For these reasons, I've decided to buy a little notebook and have it with me whenever I leave for school. Not just for writing blog posts, but for other ideas as well. Honestly, I think ideas will come to you more often when you are away from home. You'll probably get more ideas (or even philosophies) listening to your professor's life story than at home, sitting on the sofa, watching Tom and Jerry re-runs.
At least with this notebook within reach, I can write my ideas down as soon as they arrive in my head. That's one less problem solved.

So umm...yeah. That's it. The end.
I don't always end my posts awkwardly, but when I do, I put a music video to make up for it.
(Not much of a FF fan but hey, it works)

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Straight English post.

Earphones found. Activating Lip-synch...

"He may be out of his mind, but someday you will find insanity's left us all blind and dragged us all behind."

Lyrics to. 15 points kapag may makasabi ng title at artist nito without having to scroll down to read this blog entry. :D

Ever since elementary, little by little, I've become more and more attached to music. Tapos ayun, "naadik", in a way. What started out with random flipping of the TV channels, became a part of me I still hold tightly today.

OK. Enough history.

Pop music, to be specific. So now, you'll find me listening to rock most of the time.

Since you were inspired by a band, do you have interest in performing songs on instruments?

Yes. Yes, I do. I do covers from time to time and upload them on Youtube. Now, I've also become used to playing the drums a bit.

Do you have a band?

Once again, yes. Yurana's the name. We're a four-man band na walang specific vocalist. Haha. We like to perform covers. I'm not gonna go into details about it here because in my opinion, it deserves a separate blog post for it. :D
