Ang ganda ng Avengers!

Haha! Totally unrelated title.

...

So natapos na ang second week ko sa OJT.

As part of our practicum, we shall spend our summer working as interns. We've experienced 6 semesters of unending pressure after all, might as well experience the pressure of the corporate world to help ourselves adjust accordingly.

Etong OJT, in a sense, is a bridge of the student life to the work life. A transition to how we are to how we will be. Dito rin nagkakasabay ang academics (practicum requirements) at work (office tasks). This bridge is not a one-way bridge. It is up to you whether to burn that bridge or not.

Hmm, OJT somehow reminded me of a few lines from a song.

"Fallen into this place
Just giving you a small taste
Of your afterlife here, so stay
You'll be back here soon, anyway."
--Afterlife, Avenged Sevenfold

Ok, so maybe "afterlife" was a bit harsh.

Next year, may mga banner na rin na...
["Congratulations, graduates of 2013!" from Mayor Ngiting Walang Kupas of Lungsod ng Kawalan]

So heartfelt and touching.

Anyway, back to OJT...

As with anything, may good and bad sides din ang practicum namin na to.
And here they are.

-Explore sa labas ng school! Yeah!
-New acquaintances, new co-workers, new friends
-Gain experience in the workplace
-A chance to measure and improve your skills
-Malamig sa opisina. :D
-Napapatipid sa gastusin. (True story)

-Time-pressured by required hours. As in PRESSURED.
-Lagi kang on-standby.
-Because of #1, overtime all the time, man. Yeah.
-Because of #3 (which is because of #1), hindi na pwedeng gumala after work.
-Because of #4 (which is because of #3, which is because of #1), gising-pasok-uwi-tulog routine.
-Nakakapagod ampucha.

I also wanna give a shout out and thank Mr. Francis Kong (although malabong makarating to sa kanya). I attended his seminar last Monday and I find his talks are very inspiring and useful. The man tells the truth. You guys should listen to him if you have the chance. :D

In the end, I'd say worth it naman ang lahat ng to. Mas malaking kawalan naman kung hindi ako nag-OJT. Mas OK nang naghirap para sa kinabukasan kesa magrelax at mawalan ng kinabukasan.

Pero dyahe talaga yang required number of hours na yan eh.
